FloTHERM and FloTHERM XT includes FloEDA Bridge, which provides a direct interface from Expedition, PADS or IDF files and builds a FloTHERM 3D model of your PCB board and components. The interface allows you to set resolutions of the copper mesh of your PCB, finding the optimum between speed and accuracy. It also offers an easy way to add missing information like power consumptions of the components. For the EE flow there is even an edit and update function to easily remain concurrent with the Expedition design.

 

Why FloHERM or FloTHERM XT? Thermal analyses depends on the mesh build for the transport through the system. The mesh solving algorithms in FloTHERM (XT) can handle general non-aligned and complex geometry in an efficient way.

 

The application controls multiple volumes that contain more than one material. The mesh cell shape is controlled by the CAD volume geometry, ensuring that the surface of both fluids result in the correct mesh shape and interaction at their surface.
