PCB Forums bring Mentor customers together to learn new tips and tricks for max productivity and most efficient tool usage.

This year, the PCB Forums will explore the core Xpedition tools using step-by-step instruction for optimum adoption. In addition to instruction, our time will be focused on discussion and hands-on experience.

The PCB Forum is a full day of technical sessions conducted by Mentor Graphics application engineers, spanning the entire design flow, enabling users to learn tool capabilities more effectively, improving individual design skills, resulting in greater efficiency for design teams.

There will also be a specific session, addressing the quickest way to adopt the Xpedition VX.1 release.

What you will learn

During the day, demonstrations and discussion will explain how new Xpedition capabilities can be applied to your designs.

  • Adoption of new design techniques in xDX Designer and xPCB Layout (most are available as part of your current licenses), including the new integrated FPGA – PCB optimization tools
  • 3D design in Xpedition, and in collaboration with MCAD
  • How to shorten design review cycles and collaboration effort through the collaboration client and automation of
  • the electrical signoff process
  • Accelerated rollout recommendations and validation plans for CAD managers and IT
  • Managing work in process and release data, tracking design progress and experience with xDM Design
  • Practical advice from Mentor experts on how to best adopt and utilize enhancements
  • How to promote fast, efficient adoption of the VX release in your environment
  • Experience and knowledge exchange through peer connection
