Description

The Expedition PCB to Xpedition xPCB Layout Transition course will introduce experienced Expedition users to the new methods and features of Xpedition xPCB Layout tool.

You will begin with a completed schematic design and learn new placement and routing techniques. Along the way, you will learn to use the modern, intuitive user-interface, and explore many other updates and improvements to the xPCB Layout tool.

 

Detailed lab exercises help reinforce lecture topics and provide you with extensive tool usage experience under the guidance of our industry expert instructors.

 

You will learn how to

  • Become familiar with the new and more powerful Display Control display.
  • Learn how to place parts using the Component Placement tool, including setting up and placing Active Groups, which allows you to do placement planning by working with the actual area required for placement of related groups of components.
  • Explore the newest routing tools, including the Sketch Router and Hug Router, along with other innovative and productive methods for plow routing.
  • Learn to use new features for help, including extended tooltips and movies.
  • See how aspects of RF and other software tools have been incorporated into the standard, out-of-the box functionality of xPCB Layout.
  • Become familiar with new Constraint Manager features as you place and route the class design.
