SmartCells™ - The Enabling Technology Behind Frontloading Simulation

SmartCells™ - The Enabling Technology Behind Frontloading Simulation

Overview

Today manufacturing product design cycles need to get shorter and shorter as either new or increased numbers of products get to the market faster. The FloEFD SmartCells approach allows significant time savings and enables thereby the rapid development of better and even more reliable products.

This web seminar will explain the unique capabilities of FloEFD’s SmartCells technology and shows why this approach is an enabler to frontload CFD into the early design process.

What You Will Learn

  • Introduction into the FloEFD history,
  • What is the technology behind the SmartCells?
  • Challenges of embedding CFD into the CAD environment
  • The automatic treatment of turbulent and laminar flows in SmartCells
  • Why use engineering models?
  • Industrial validation examples
  • FAQs on FloEFD’s mesh

Who Should Attend

  • Project Engineers
  • Design Engineers
  • Simulation Engineers
  • CFD Engineers
  • Engineering Managers

Products Covered

  • FloEFD

About the Presenter; Mike Gruetzmacher

Mike studied Mechanical Engineering in Fachhochschule in Bochum and worked at NIKA GmbH, Frankfurt as an Application Engineer where he worked with FloEFD at its early stages. He went on to work as a Project Manager for Waste Heat Recovery Systems, Küttner Energy & Environment GmbH for 8 years. Mike has also recently studied Business Economics for Engineers. Mike now works in the Mechanical Analysis Division at Mentor Graphics as a Technical Marketing Engineers specializing in FloEFD.

About the Presenter; Boris Marovic

Boris Marovic is the Industry Manager for Automotive & Transportation at Mentor Graphics’ Mechanical Analysis Division and has a background in electronics and aerospace engineering. He started 2007 at Mentor Graphics (former Flomerics/NIKA) as an Application Engineer and has since then worked in a wide range of automotive projects including Automotive Lighting and determines the needs of the Mechanical Analysis Products for his industry together with the corresponding Product Managers
