Application Engineer Wiring and Harness region Scandinavia (full time)

 

As an Application Engineer you will be involved in pre-sales and consultancy activities for our Wiring and Harness solutions for the Scandinavian region.


Your essential responsibilities and duties:

  • Give (online) demonstrations and presentations
  • Coordinate and provide technical support at Electrical Engineers
  • Manage and execute customer on- and off-site deployments and training
  • Define and develop customer specific solutions
  • Participate and give presentations at several national and international events

Your Working day

You start the day with a (digital) chat with your colleagues, grab a cup of coffee and start working on a support case for customer X. After you completed this you enjoy a nice lunch. And then get started with a  pre-sales presentation on Harness design for customer Y. In order to get this to the customer’s full satisfaction, consult with the specialist inside the Siemens IESD organisation. Halfway through the afternoon you give a Wiring/Harness presentation to a customer. At the end of the day you call a colleague to let him know who things went and to discuss further if necessary.

wat we ask from you

Your dedication and support to customers with design challenges will help improve daily increasing productivity and quality demand. You have a responsible attitude, are customer oriented and have a high-degree of self-discipline. What else do you bring with you?

  • Bachelor or master degree Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in the design/development of electrical installation and in particular wiring harnesses, cable bundles
  • Affinity in pre-sales, technical consulting and training
  • Interest in engineering but also in the processes needed to succeed a project
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using wire harness design tools like Capital (and associated modules such as Logic, Integrator, and Harness XC), VeSys, Saber Harness and/or Zuken E3.Series
  • Java coding experience would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with mechanical 3D CAD software tools such as NX, SolidEdge or others
  • Demonstrated experience in system analysis, testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics and root cause analysis
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint and related software
  • Language, fluent English required. Swedish, Danish, Norwegian or Dutch is a preference
