Abstract
In theory, PCB Design is as simple as drawing schematics, doing the layout on the board and giving it to manufacturing. In this session, we are touching on a couple of topics that illustrate how technology and complexity related to the PCB Design process evolved in recent years and how Mentor solutions can help to overcome those challenges. One area of increased focus in recent years include ECAD-MCAD co-design. An efficient ECADMCAD co-design process can be an enabler in addressing the challenge, providing teams with a more collaborative product development process. This presentation will include use case demonstrations of ECAD-MCAD co-design using Xpedition and Siemens NX tools to help illustrate the key messages.
