MIgration from PADS Classic to PADS Professional Premium
Streamit, a company specializing in advanced audio communication solutions, was facing significant challenges with their previous PCB design software. The quality of the PCBs produced via their Chinese partner was inconsistent, leading to numerous errors and extended timelines. Challenges

Implementation
The migration process was managed by Bas Hassink and Laury Watervoort from InnoFour, who facilitated the transfer of existing data into the new software environment.
Wilco Blootens, Streamit’s primary user, received training and support from Laury, which was crucial given the software's capabilities and numerous options. The transition, although complex, was executed smoothly, allowing Streamit to leverage the advanced features of PADS Professional Premium.

With the new software, Streamit saw significant improvements in handling complex projects. Although there were no immediate cost saving due to the increased complexity of their products, the enhanced capabilities of PADS Professional Premium allowed for the successful completion of intricate designs involving numerous components such as connectors and heat sinks. These projects would have been challenging to realize with PADS Classic.
The integration of 3D calculations for enclosures and the seamless linkage with Solid Edge and SolidWorks for mechanical drawings proved to be significant benefits. The use of ODB++ format for layer reviews, a feature not available in PADS Classic, further streamlined their process.
Support and Learning Curve
Streamit received commendable support from InnoFour. The transition from PADS Classic to PADS Professional Premium was an exciting challenge, which was seamless thanks to the availability of on-demand training and remote support.
