EDM Design does not have a published external API. However, the Xpedition toolset does define an internal interface that provides access to EDM managed design data. You can customize the Xpedition EDM Design Cockpit tool through menu-selection changes and additions, creation of application tasks and tools, management of configuration rules, and more.

 

You can also use data management objects to automate embedded-client tasks. The Xpedition Designer, Layout, FabLink, and FabLink Drawing Editor tools include these types of objects in their APIs.
