BOM Connector 8 Released

BC8, the latest version of our award winning BOM and Quoting accelerator tool, has been released and is available for immediate download. BOM Connector Version 8 is a substantial performance upgrade.

Most exciting is the new “Enterprise” module which allows for true simulataneous work. Multiple users can now work on the same project or calculation at the same time. A typical use model – many companies have part class specialists, since the purchasing requirements for discretes, for example, vary greatly from ICs or connectors. User A can now “check out” all ICs, find price and delivery for them, while User B does the same concurrently for all resistors and capacitors. The result is an even further increase in efficiency.

Other improvements include:

• BOM Read – new features to better handle MPN “blocks”
• Project status and “deadline” handling
• Project overview includes the ability to see completion percentage of a calculation
• Display lead times, stock levels, surplus and other information directly in the calculation
• Material report through all or selected projects
• DistiDirect now supports Rutronik
