Mentor-Valor Acquisition

18 March 2010

Mentor Graphics optimizes design and manufacturing efficiency with its acquisition of Valor Computerized Systems Ltd.

The acquisition of Valor by Mentor Graphics has been completed as of February 16, 2010, and Valor is now formally a division within Mentor Graphics.

Mentor Graphics (NASDAQ: MENT) is the leading provider worldwide of PCB systems design solutions, offering products, consulting services and award-winning support for the world's most successful electronics and semiconductor companies.

The integration of Valor within Mentor opens many opportunities for our customers and partners in the Design, Fabrication and Manufacturing markets:

The acquisition will allow Mentor to enhance its offering to the PCB systems design market by standardizing on Valor DFM technology. Valor DFM products will continue to evolve and serve the entire EDA market, and we will retain our core open-interface policies and continue to partner with 3rd-parties in both the design and manufacturing arenas.

Mentor sees significant potential in our offering for the manufacturing market and is as committed as we are to deliver best in class solutions and support to that market. Mentor intends to leverage its market presence, financial resources and award winning support infrastructure to accelerate the introduction of new products and solutions for both PCB fabrication and electronics assembly and to drive our growth in those markets.

As a division within Mentor, Valor will retain its own management, sales and engineering resources while enjoying the added benefit of Mentor's world renowned support organization.

These are exciting times for both Valor and Mentor Graphics, and we look forward continue serving you and to bring higher levels of value to your business and operations.
