Low Cost, High Reliability Power Supplies
There are significant challenges when faced with designing a power supply for high reliability while attempting to keep costs down. Power supplies often have high voltage high current requirements and have to dissipate that power in a small space. The power involved can drive higher temperatures which in turn can lower the reliability of ICs, power transistors and sensors as well as passive devices such as resistors, capacitors and inductors. Similarly the printed circuit board can be affected by the thermal effects and the voltage/current levels applied. This webinar will address these issues, identify the major failure modes of power supplies and provide insight into methods for mitigation.

This webinar will address an understanding of the tradeoffs between levels of abstraction, cost and risk. Attendees will come away with the information they need to specify and satisfy reliability predictions with the appropriate level of effort and precision and how to improve requirement communication and results to all the stakeholders.
Web Seminar: PCB Design with 3D - New Release!Attend this webinar to see the newest release of PADS. Highlights include the benefits of 3D viewing, placement, and DRC, as well as STEP model import and STEP export of the full PCB assembly. We’ll also show you some of the usability and productivity enhancements we’ve made to PADS Layout, xDX Designer, and, yes… even to PADS Logic!
